Seems working together for Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has made the two, director Vishal Bhardwaj and actor Imran Khan, very good friends. As after completing one film with Imran, it is buzz all around that in his upcoming film, sequel of 2009 release Kaminey, Vishal is eager to cast Imran Khan instead of original lead Shahid Kapoor.
However, Shahid Kapoor’s toughie look in Kaminey is surely fresh in the minds of movie goers. Wherein he enthralled one and all with double role that proved to be a double treat to watch as far as Sasha’s chiseled body was concerned. But for the sequel of Kaminey, Vishal Bhardwaj is eyeing the latest chocolate boy of B-town Imran Khan.
“During the making of their next film, Vishal seemed to have taken a shine for Imran. And now for his upcoming sequel, he is keen on taking Imran in place of Shahid. He even went on to compare Imran with other actors he has worked with in the past, including Shahid and Saif Ali Khan," said a source.
Well…will Imran be able to do justice to the role of a toughie? After watching the promos of Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, we would like to think so.
Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, starring Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma, Punkaj Kapur, Shabana Azmi, and Aryan Babber is slated to release on 11 January 2013. Let’s hope the best for Imran Khan
