UTV Motion Pictures has received a whopping 42 nomination at Screen Awards!


One of the acclaimed film production companies, UTV Motion Pictures has made all other production house at 19th Annual Colors Screen Awards envious with having earned the highest number of nominations. UTV has received a roaring 42 nominations for its films released in 2012. Film Barfi is high on Screen Selection Academy's list as it notched the maximum votes in all the three categories - Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor categories. It bagged the highest number of nominations including Best Picture, Best Story, Best Director for Anurag Basu, Best Actor and Best Actress in the main and popular category for Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, Best Promising Newcomer - Female, Best Background Score, Best Music, Best Playback Singer - Male, Best Lyrics, Best Cinematography and Best Editing. UTV productions’ Paan Singh Tomar received 11 nominations that include Best Picture, Best Actor for Irrfan, Best Director for Tigmanshu Dhulia, Best Ensemble Cast, Best Background Score, Best Story, Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue, Best Editing and Best Costumes. Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director - Studios, Disney UTV says, ''The Screen Awards are amongst the most prestigious awards in the country and receiving as many as 42 nominations across all our movies this year is hugely encouraging and exciting. 2012 was one of our best years so far - a year when our strategy of focusing on entertaining and differentiated content across all genres, came together in a big way.
